On-board meet the tour host: Michael Alan Ross, author of the new book, Phoenix & Scottsdale AZ Jewish Friendship Trail Tour Guidebook - 7 Tours - History, Synagogues, Cemeteries, Restaurants.
Mr. Ross will introduce you to 12 sites of Phoenix/Scottsdale Jewish history, including The New York Store, early locations of Beth Israel and Beth El, one-time home of Steven Spielberg, the VOSJCC, and the once simply beautiful but now decrepit original site of Beth Hebrew, where Steven Spielberg was bar mitzvahed.
Return at 1 PM to 1:15 PM and enjoy a light buffet lunch and a few words by Lawrence Bell, Executive Director, Arizona Jewish Historical Society, Cutler Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center, about its displays and resources.
